THE DREAM TEAM'S DAY OUT

Bild

The words spoken here emanate from a voice within our most successful franchise, DOOR Poland. What follows is a first-hand account of a key day inside their EU project team’s life - a day they decided to ignore mediocrity. Get an insight to that day from Marek Choim, the team manager.

THE DAY

I’m sure that dozens of people from our DOOR will remember this date, our deep involvement in memorable projects made only reinforced this. This particular project culminated after a over a year’s wait; the last two weeks however, proved to be the climax. It only took a handful of dissatisfied customers to create a stifling atmosphere, where being pressed for time, feeling tired and agitated became the norm. To round things off, our “queue list” had to be assembled in next to no time.

And then we saw the literal queue. How long would you expect to wait? We never could have thought we had the patience to last 24 hours, until finally at 8.57 am we submitted the last of 20 applications – all to the tune of PLN 55 (€17.2) million. Whoever said patience is a virtue knew what they were talking about.

THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT

I must give many thanks to my entire team for battling alongside me to the bitter end. Every hour, without fail, the thought leaps into my head that I am such a lucky manager for working with a  DREAM TEAM.

I must also thank everyone for doing their utmost to make sure that DOOR and our customers would have a good place in the queue. And, I have to personally thank Kasia for planning and organising all the logistics. Finally, thanks PM for supporting the process. Without your commitment (and I wouldn’t say the logistics were easy) we couldn’t have got this far.

All the best!
